Ever hear that old adage, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'?
Well rather than take his time, have studies done, and listen to all the pros and cons about the Health Bill as it is now written, Obama wants to hurry up, and shove it down our throats.
And as he is finding out, some can't agree with his plan. So what does the President of the United States do about it?
Does he ask people what they think? Nope. Well, maybe a few he had bussed in to his meetings. But no real people.
Does he hear the concerns, and place his own agenda of trying to get it done ASAP on hold, in order to re-evaluate it?
No.
He tries to formulate and conjure up ways of convincing people that it is a good thing. He does not take the time needed to hear what people are saying.
I am sure he has his reasons, besides his agenda I mean.
But if you take a look around at what exactly is going on, it may make you wonder about that assertion as well.
Can you name a Federal Government program, or department that isn't either broke, going broke, or isn't constantly asking for more money?
I can't. He even said that FedEx and UPS are doing better than the government run U.S. Postal Service
And yet somehow, he can assure us that this one will be different.
This one will work.
It seems like whenever the government steps in, and tries to do something, it messes it up.
They can't even figure out how emails went out to those who didn't want to be on their list.
(But, they tried. They said someone else did it.)
The CBO (Congressional Budget Office)is in charge, of going over all these plans and programs to make sure all the numbers line up, and they are continually telling the administration, the Health Plan is going to cost us more than expected, and, it is going to increase the deficit.
But, they are ignored. Obama does not care. That report, isn't his concern.
Now the CDC (Center for Disease Control) says that Americans are living longer now, than at any other time in history.
On the whole, we have improved the lives of enough people, to move that stat up, in the right direction.
With Obama's plan of cutting costs, limiting money so that Doctors will have to select the less effective and cheaper treatment, we may see a change in that stat.
The citizens who have paid into all those accounts, and spent all those years in service, will now be placed at the back of the line. They are going to die soon anyway, why waste the money on the past, when we have to be concerned about the future?
With controls set as to what Doctors can, and cannot charge, some people will decide against going into the Medical profession. We may see a shortage of qualified doctors. How does a shortage of medical professionals help assure quality health care?
But then again, you like what he is doing.
After all, the odds are you voted for him.
Thanks for Nothing.
