Fellow Peace Prize Winners

Someone has decided to give Obama the Peace prize this year.
The Nobel Peace Prize.
It use to mean something when I was a child, but now it means the recipient gets some money, and a note saying what a fine fellow he is.
I use to think that the people, who dealt out these awards, had some kind of special awareness or understanding what Peace was.
Maybe it was because the word Nobel sounded a lot like the word Noble which has a regality or righteousness to it.
And, being a person who does not trust, like or see any reason to respect Obama, I decide to look up some past winners of this prize in order to see what the leanings, if any, the committee has.
Other than Obama, another popped up as someone who really didn’t deserve such a prize.
Yasser Arafat was awarded the prize in 1994.
For those of you who do not know about him, he was the largest killer of Jews since Adolph Hitler.
He had a long History, of crimes against the Jewish people, and may indicate what qualifications the committee either considers or ignores as a prerequisite for winning the prize.
So instead of thinking that Obama has obtained some sort of lofty international honor, consider some of their other mistakes.
Yasser Arafat, Al Gore, and my favorite, Jimmy Carter.
