I saw this clip of Obama and Diane Sawyer that was made a few days back. Sawyer prodded Obama about the transparency promises he made during his campaign.
And, I can honestly say, he made it clear as to what his thoughts and beliefs are about whether or not he has kept those promises. In the last statement he makes, he basically says, that he is and always has been transparent. He stated that as far as he is concerned as president, he has not made any backroom deals, or catered to any group or special interests.
So, according to what he said, we, as American citizens who may from time to time doubt him, are wrong and have problems trying to rectify what he said. Let me offer some acceptable, Obama Approved reasons for our confusion:
1-We are all wrong because he has been transparent. It's just that no news reporting agency has bothered to cover any of the proceedings.
2- We are all wrong, and just didn't recognize 'transparency' when we saw it.
3-We are all wrong because we are all ignorant of his interpretation of what the word 'transparent' means.
4- We are all wrong by not listening to Obama and understanding or grasping him when he is being transparent.
5-We are wrong in what our interpretation of the word is.
6- We are wrong and less intelligent than he is, because we have been unable to separate when he is lying, or telling the truth.
7- We are wrong in believing what he says. He made that clear during the election, but we just don't seem to learn.
8-We are wrong, because we are the little people, and he is the President.
And, after his election, when questioned about how he can possibly get away with some of the absurd things he had talked about, did he explain himself so we would understand, get on-board, and would be able to follow along with his plan? No, he simply smiled and said I can get away with it because "I won".
Hatch does a nice job of pointing out the dangers of allowing the Feds to dictate what we have to spend our money on, and how we live our lives.
Why is it more people cannot do what is right? They know what is right, but they would rather continue doing wrong, than to admit they made a mistake. And in these cases, other people pay the price for their mistakes.
As a wordsmith, Obama wiggles with words in order to patronize the individual, or the assembly he happens to be talking to. He finds it is better to play word games, than to just be truthful. He hopes, that we as a people cannot tell when he is using his masterful command of words, to deceive us into thinking he is saying that, which he is not saying. By doing so, I feel he insults the people of the U.S. and diminishes his creditably. He has to go.
